After visiting the majestic mountains today I am now locked in solitary confinement within a familiar hotel chain many miles away from that solace. There is good and bad with everything. Ying yang. To each their own. As I travel through time, I see many amazing things and sights. Today I wished I had some company with me while I made my way into the Rockies. I like to focus on the good though.
While in Banff, I was charged the most for a haircut I've ever been in my life. I'm a guy. They should not charge over $20 to trim my receding locks. I was charged $28. I still gave a $2 tip on top of that. She probably thought I was cheap too with the tip. Then I found out that many women pay over $100 a month to maintain their hair. She washed my hair three times (why?) yet gave me a nice head massage too now that I think of it, so I won't complain. I also failed to mention that my entry fee into the National Park was waved because they were on strike this weekend. To each their own. Ying yang. It all evens out in the end.
When time traveling you have no home so you must check into hotels to maintain a covert presence. I find it interesting that when I was a smoker I was charged an extra fee to have a smoking room. Now that I've been a non-smoker for some time I find it funny to see that I will get a discounted price if I get put in a smoking room.
