I took the picture above last week while I was passing by this store. Yes. It is a Used Adult Mag and Video Trad-In Center. Yes, it should be trade, not trad, but who cares? This is an actual store in Richmond, BC.

This is a picture taken today from Chicago, Illinois by one of my friends who saw Manchester United play against Bayern Munich. I didn't get feedback on the game from my friend, just the picture, but the fans are reported to have booed at the 80th minute when there was no score. I wonder if the sport will ever take off in America.

I think this old picture is very telling, and possibly set up. I don't think I'd be snapping pictures if some guy with army gear and a gun came into my room. Just makes me wonder, but I do that. Maybe, just maybe, someone figured they would have a camera ready for a situation like that. Hmmm. I believe once Castro dies, this young man Elian will rise and become a symbol of freedom and become Cuba's new leader. Call me crazy.

One of my favourite books of all time, The Manchurian Candidate, is being remade into a movie (again) that is to take place in the modern timeline. I've never seen the original movie Sinatra was in, but I have a big feeling that they are going to torture this great book and make it into a patriotic fairy tale. What I laugh at is how Hollywood is out of ideas. I'm definitely not the first to mention this. They are taking a great books name, rewriting the script much differently, and keeping the title to appeal to the masses. Will anything remotely Manchurian appear in this movie? It is supposed to be based around the Gulf War. I'll give it a chance, but read the original book by Richard Condon if you get a chance before you spend your money to watch this movie.

Thought for the day: I read something amusing recently where someone had to ask what kind of society we live in after observing how people shave their eyebrows only to paint them back on. I'll write more on that topic one day down the road.

Have a great week and watch out for that solar storm.
