As we wind down into the holiday season I always wonder why I never remember the day I learned that Santa Claus was not real. Considers: Did I ever believe?

Let's look at this from the perspective of a headhunter out of Africa. You come here this time of year and you see everyone get excited about a fat man in a red suit. The kids are excited. The parents even convince themselves of the lie. In essence, you are a liar or you are delusional enough to play this game.

Consider that I made up a story that I met a woman in Manitoba who was married. The husband and herself wanted children but could not have them. They volunteer my services but only on the caveat that she wears a wrestling mask. So I do it. Some people believe that story.

If I have kids I am going to tell them that Santa is not real from the get go. They will know I'm all about the truth. I will tell them how to observe the people who believe in Santa and to remember that they are liars.

ADD is Attention Deficit Disorder.
PADD is Pay Attention Deficit Disorder. I have coined this phrase. Scientists will do studies about the latter.
I pay attention to everything, that is what I have - PADD. Big difference from ADD.

I walked across the street today here in Vancouver and the beeping sound that goes off for the blind people at the crosswalk went off. I laughed at how loud it was. I mean, come on. From what I'm told, people who lose a sense are more apt to gain in the other ones. Why do we have to go ahead and make the beeping sound for the blind people at crosswalks so damn loud? They can't read this site anyway but my guess is they would sense agreement with what I just said. Enhanced sensing again.

While I have been playing online poker I have noticed quite a bit of resentment from our neighbours down south. Did Fox News tell them that we were bad or something?
