Tonight I wasted a few minutes of my life observing things at a pop rock singer's message board after being directed there by a link from an article about her Saturday night performance, or lack thereof. Watching a pop star get crushed by the people who made her as big as she is. Her handlers should have shut down the message board because I'd imagine the young children who are her fans can easily access the bad language and gross links. Although I'm not hip to the popular culture, I find that what is successful in that environment is a reflection of our society in general. That statement is a little too obvious, I know. Fame is not worth any fortune in this day and age through my eyes, but everyone wants to be seen and heard. I suppose as the numbers increase and competition intensifies for living space and clean drinking water, it's a natural reaction for us peons. It's too bad that most of the things we are seeing today are fraudulent. I acquired sarcasm a long time ago because of noticing how gullible people were (including myself). The children will get too angry one day and I won't fault them.

I wish I could visit the town of Twin Peaks. It seems so much more relaxed then the real world. That show was genius.

"Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or . . . two cups of good, hot, black coffee."
