As I sit here and eat Kraft Dinner upon midnight, I think of running into two instances today where I axed myself: Will there ever be a backlash on technological advancement? Will our fuel and electricity give way the more we populate this big round ball?
But I'm not going to get into that today.
Birds Aren't Bees:
"Look, son. I'm going to give you a talk about the birds and the bees. The worker bees will always be going into the hives we build. Those big skyscrapers. The worker bees are what we call the middle and lower class, son. You see, they think the birds and bees talk is about having sex. Well, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, it is! For them! They can just keep on multiplying. Every time one is defiant, an up and comer will go out there, take their place and milk that honey for us. Now, you listen son, you have to be a bird now, see? You have to fly above these people and give them a little peck of encouragement here and a little peck of aggression there. Don't be flying too far from our nest now though. We don't have time for that. You'll see son, them workers will argue amongst themselves and they'll forget who is running the show. It's not because they can't do what we can do. It's just the way it is. Now you go fly! You fly high! Understand that this is the way it is and the way it should be. Tomorrow we'll talk about collecting interest on the workers bank accounts while they are sleeping. Have a good night son. I love you. Dad's got to go to Bermuda tomorrow. He's going to be a bird like you already are."
