The bank card magnetic strip should be swiped towards the clerk. No, not there though. That other place is like that. This place is where the magnetic strip is towards the customer. It should be swiped towards you now! This is an example of how people just don’t care about things anymore. Why didn't someone that created these devices set a standard when they invented these things? They are relying on the people to sort these things out themselves. In the past, we would have companies calling us to fix things and correct bad service. Now we have to call them. We have to wait on hold and accept that we might not get somewhere! Transfer you to this department. Transfer you to that one. We can’t yell at the customer service agents because it’s just their job.
“It’s the system, sir. I just work here.”

The game of football (also known as soccer in North America) is a great sport. Many people find it quite boring. I used to play as a kid and since all my closer friends played baseball, I ended up moving away from the game. My friend Professor 17 once put it into great perspective: Every team in the world has a chance in soccer. Every country has an almost equal opportunity to field a great team. Why? It’s a unique team sport that quite frankly anyone can play without having to worry about the consequences of buying equipment and whatnot. Other team sports are not necessarily accessible as football/soccer and most countries play the sport.
I enjoy watching the Euro 2004. Here’s a link full of flags and the schedule for you: click here.
The hooligans are always out when the national teams play. It’s a great way to see how short the attention spans are these days. The sport is a religion. It keeps many people occupied like Iraq.

Speaking of religion, I read a great anagram of sorts last week:
GOD = Guns, Oil, Drugs.
Like we laughed at the children hiding underneath their desks in case of a nuke firing back in the Cold War era, the children in the following generations will laugh at our generation for many things, most notably the color coded terror alerts and the duct tape and plastic sheet purchases. You can expect these things if you are going to invest billions in military technology and drop an atomic bomb on a country….forget it, this is nonsense.
Not good for ratings. Boring! Speaking of ratings, I used to keep track of how many visitors (that's all two of you; someone in Norway and YOU!) would visit this site. I took that feature off my website this weekend because I felt it was taking away from this experiment.
Hope you enjoyed your visit, from wherever you are.
