Today marks the first round of The U.S. Open Golf tournament, which is an example of everything good about America. Here is a tournament where the best players gather from countries around the world to compete for the coveted Major championship. Here is a tournament that allows any golfer in any old town or city in America the chance to qualify and play with the pros. There are 6 amateurs I counted that are in this tourney. Many relative unknown golfers played through local, regional, and state tournaments to advance to get a heralded spot to play in the grand tournament with the top 48 players in the World. This is an example of something that makes me want to say, "Ain't that America!"
