He helps himself by helping others.

After driving almost 700 kilometers on Friday, I was fortunate enough to be in the Toronto area at the end of the day and my final destination was the Skydome to see a friend who coached his team to the Dome for their final destination of the year. Good job Coach. He's traveled a long and bumpy way to get as far as he did.

Did anyone hear how Bush's visit went in the UK? You wouldn't think he even was there based on the lack of footage over here. I'm not just talking about nice photo opportunities either. What exactly were the results of the visit?

You Be The Judge Cam.

Visual perception is what I'm going to talk about today. I was talking to a friend about the first time I ever saw footage on television of someone getting shot at with a weapon of choice. Now, I'm not talking 'movie-style' here. I'm talking about a real person getting a bullet shot at them. Do you recall who it was for you? I find it very interesting for the most part that anyone who thinks about it comes up with the same answer: The shot that killed JFK.

Now considering the amount of television most North American's have been exposed to it's not everyday we are exposed to footage of real people, not actors, getting shot. How many other people that have lived on Earth have you seen shot in the head on national television? Something to think about. Maybe.

Oscar Wilde wrote a story called The Picture of Dorian Gray. If you've ever read it you might see where I'm about to go here. I find that the television is like a mirror image of what North American society has become. Most enjoy watching people suffer and get humiliated. No matter how much they know that they shouldn't be watching -- they keep on looking. Take for example, Michael Jackson. He's grown up as a puppet and been beaten down mentally his whole life. He missed his childhood because of his fame and perhaps that might be the reason for his big playland. His identity has been changed multiple times to feed his ego and to feed the master puppeteers wallets. The people closest to him did not stop the madness. Was he a product of society? A product of a bad upbringing? Am I wasting our time now? Why people even should bother watching this train wreck or giving up their time of day for this is beyond me. Go out and get famous now.
