Handle With Care

The Castle is a movie all of you should watch.

You know, I'm getting sick of this fear factor that is being spread upon everyone. Let's stop enjoying ourselves? No, how about we eat, drink, and be merry? I don't have teevee, but when I was over at my friend's place I couldn't believe when I saw that CNN had a 'Terror Threat' status on the screen during their programming. Like Dave Barry says on his website, Everybody needs to be ALERT and HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS. Like, if somebody at the supermarket asks you, "Paper or plastic?", your correct response is: "Who wants to know?".

So, my point is this. There's nothing we can do to change if people are going to bomb each other or not. Mentally, I've prepared for for the worst. These things are going to happen. People always disagree. Now I'm going to make a prediction. One of two things is going to happen: Gas prices will rise or there will be an all out war and people will die. Or both. Either way, my message is this: Have fun while you're here. No sense worrying over things you can't control. If you're going to go, you might as well enjoy the time you've got. Overseas, I suppose there are other ways to look at what I just said - an army officer in Iraq said this, "There is a proverb that says everybody has to die some time. So why be afraid?"

The Onion's website asked many celebs and such Who They Could Take in a Fight?

It's snowing and cold here and it got me to thinking about when my friends and I would 'Snowman Hunt'. We would go around and get running starts at snowmen and destroy them. In retrospect, we probably made many kids cry, but we didn't realize that at the time because we were kids too. Anyway, if any of you are thinking of diving at a snowman to break it in half, make sure it hasn't turned into ice or you might dislocate your shoulder.

Hmm, every paragraph up there pretty much resorted to violence. So I'll leave you with this: go rent The Castle, eat, drink, and be merry.
